Yuzuki must find Himemiko to return home, but the ongoing battles among the warring factions hinder her progress. But when Himemiko, the guardian of Shinga, disappears mysteriously, chaos ensues. Populated by various supernatural beings, collectively known as Gekkazoku (including werewolves and vampires), Shinga's population lives in harmony with humans. Shinga's terrain bears an uncanny resemblance to Japan's Sengoku era, a time of prolonged civil wars that plagued the nation. Yuzuki, a soft-spoken individual, suddenly finds herself transported to Shinga - a parallel universe - when a beam of light emanates from her phone. Although Yuzuki seeks Himemiko's whereabouts to return home, the ongoing conflicts among the warlords impede her. However, upon her unexplained disappearance, the nation spirals into disorder. Himemiko, a woman with the power to protect Shinga, has preserved this state of harmony. Inhabited by Gekkazoku - a coalition of supernatural creatures, including werewolves and vampires - Shinga's citizens coexist peacefully with humans. The topography of Shinga bears a strong resemblance to Japan's Sengoku era, marked by long-standing civil wars across the country.

Yuzuki, a reserved person, is unexpectedly transported to Shinga - an alternate realm - after her phone emits a dazzling light.
